The Reverend James M. Hairston is an Episcopal (Anglican) Priest who serves in a variety of capacities. He is a Chaplain in the United States Army, Campus Minister for Multi-Faith Programs at Boston College and Bridge Priest at Grace Church, Everett.

A Dorchester (Boston) native, Rev’d James studied Political Science (with minors in Economics & African and African Diaspora Studies) at Boston College. After graduation, Rev’d James embarked on a career in teaching, eventually earning a Master of Education. After years of running, he finally answered the call to the ministry and earned a Master of Divinity. Currently he is pursuing a doctorate in Ascetical Theology at Nashotah House Theological Seminary.

Rev’d Hairston is a veteran of Operation Enduring Freedom where he earned the Defense Meritorious Service Medal. Rev’d Hairston is active in a variety of community, fraternal and religiously based organizations, some of which are listed below. He currently resides in Dorchester with his wife Elizabeth and their two children.
